Aerie Officers and News

2020-2021

FROM THE EYE OF THE WORTHY PRESIDENT

Fun friendship and fraternalism have returned to Mt. Clemens 1269. A month after reopening, the Aerie and Auxiliary held elections and installations of officers. Thank you to all willing to serve. I was looking at a challenging year with the pandemic of coronavirus.

It came as a complete surprise when my wife Rosalyn was elected Madam President this year. The Eagle trail will be rewarding with her joining me.  There are a number of functions planed for the remainder of the year. A complete newsletter will soon be available, be sure you have one by e-mail or direct mail. Copies are always available at the Aerie.

Representing Mt. Clemens 1269 at the 2020 International Convention I had a personal mission. That was to gain support to have our Aerie Secretary, Rick Jantz enshrined into the Grand Aerie “Hall of Fame”. In Reno immediately I went into action with a face to face with Dave Smith Grand Aerie President elect. Dave often a visitor to mighty Michigan assured me in the very least a small plaque of recognition, that I told him was not good enough. My Eagle brothers Grand Aerie and Michigan State officers took the necessary steps to make my mission a reality. Thank you brothers! With the power of prayer our Rick Jantz is still with us and on the road to recovery.

District 3 meets in Port Huron at Blue Water #3702 Sept. 20th at 2 pm. I will be honored to serve as Chairman thru May 2021.  At our Aerie installation of REAC officers Sept. 13th at 3 pm. Have a successful year REAC.  Our Eagle Riders are active come down and support all functions. Outdoors the Tiki bar is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings with weekend entertainment. Cornhole and horseshoe pickup games are ongoing. Inside Men’s Pool League and the Dart League starts action Sept. 17th.

Be sure to get in our attendance awards. You must be in to win! Sunday football watching in the social room is on going. Hopefully soon our region will be in Phase 5 and we can offer even more to our members. As always keep our members and their families in your prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to those who have lost loved ones. At the Aerie Sept. 26th  a wake and memorial service was held for a 50-year member sister Amy Dobberowsky.

Fun, Friendship and Fraternalism at Mt. Clemens Eagles join in.
